"And the seventy-two demons who witnessed everything about this [King] were a system created by Solomon, the ancestor of magic (humanity), that worked efficiently according to the correct principles."

"However, just like advanced artificial intelligence, it was created so successfully that it was not bound by the Three Laws of Robotics."

"They were filled with grief and indignation at the relationship between King Solomon and the people, and in order to overcome the 'imperfection of mankind' that King Solomon had long ignored, they ultimately became a living curse."

"They had pity on humanity, loved humanity, yet they were bound by Solomon's will, watching all of Solomon's actions. Solomon knew all too well the incorrigibility of humanity and the ugliness of human nature."

"But instead of leading humanity to righteousness, he accepted death. However, the demons could not tolerate this behavior, and eventually, after Solomon's death, the seventy-two demons sealed in his remains developed their own independent thoughts."

"This human love, which is based on the principle of compassion, ultimately turned into human evil."

What should have been a "human reason supplement" has been changed to a "human reason incineration."

"I won't tell you the specifics of what he'll do or what he's planning to do; you'll see later."

Seeing that Merlin's complexion was getting worse, Yue Zhengling stopped and told him to let him process it properly.

"You've already said so much, why don't you tell me the rest?" Merlin, his smile completely gone, glared at Yue Zhengling and asked.

"Didn't you say it would be boring to know everything that will happen in the future?" Yue Zhengling replied in a very calm tone.

"That depends on the occasion!" Merlin said irritably, pacing around in place.

"To be honest, Merlin, I don't believe you." Yue Zhengling suddenly said, looking at the unusually anxious Merlin.

Upon hearing Yue Zhengling's words, Merlin stopped and frowned as he looked at him.

“I’ve said before that I’m afraid you’ll also become evil in humanity. Do you know why?” Yue Zhengling took a deep breath and looked at Merlin with a suspicious gaze.

"Currently, as far as I know, there are a total of seven humans, but I'm not entirely sure which seven exactly."

Merlin sensed that Yue Zhengling wasn't lying, but he didn't understand why he would doubt him.

Beasts are the great calamities rejected by human history, comprising seven major human evils. These human evils refer to various disasters that threaten human history and destroy humanity. They originate from human civilization, growing stronger with human development, yet ultimately destroying civilization from within—like cancer cells.

Merlin did not believe he would become such a thing.

"Goetia said that the destruction of humanity is not out of malice towards humanity. Malice is merely something that gradually fades away over time. What truly threatens humanity is the very desire to protect humanity—human love itself. This is because the spirit of 'yearning for a better future' can disrupt the current peace."

"The Beast I know is incomplete, with Beast V and Beast VII being completely unknown."

Then he shared what he knew about the Beast.

BeastⅠ·Goetia, the Nega Summon, possesses the principle of 'Compassion'.

Beast II Tiamat, the anti-Genesis, holds the principle of "return".

BeastⅢ/R Sesshouin Kiara, the anti-savior (Nega Saver), holds the principle of "love and desire".

BeastⅣ·Kathy Parluge, whose exact name is unknown, holds the principle of 'comparison'.

Beast VI – Nega Messiah, possibly Ayaka Sajou, the Beast of 666.

After hearing this shocking news, Merlin immediately searched for the beings mentioned by Yue Zhengling, but found nothing except for Fufu.

"Don't waste your energy. I've said it before, even you clairvoyants aren't omnipotent. Apart from Fou, you probably can't see anything else, whether it's the Grand Temple of Time in this world or the Imaginary World, those aren't places your eyes can see."

A strange sense of superiority appeared in Yue Zhengling's eyes. "Not to mention that the others don't even exist in this world."

Upon hearing his words, Merlin suddenly realized, "So the others are in parallel worlds."

Le Zhengling shrugged noncommittally.

"I already know what you've said, so why do you suspect I'm one of them?" Merlin asked, puzzled.

"Aren't you surprised that Beast III has an R?" Yue Zhengling was surprised that Merlin hadn't noticed the key point.

"What does this mean?" Merlin asked, his voice a little hoarse, as if he had anticipated something.

"This R stands for both Right and Rapture. In other words, Sesshouin Kiara, as Beast III, is incomplete and is merely a candidate."

Le Zhengling lowered his head and stopped looking at Merlin.

"As far as I know, several of the Beasts seem to exist in the concept of 'pairs,' left and right, yin and yang, and Sesshouin Kiara is the R of Beast III."

"So, is Beast IV Cathy Parluge included in this category?"

After saying this, Yue Zhengling still didn't raise his head, but he heard Merlin backing away, unsure whether it was because he was too surprised or because he had been exposed.

The reason why Yue Zhengling didn't go to see him was because he didn't want to get that answer; he didn't want to know the answers to these speculations.

Chapter Seventy-Eight: A Pleasant Chat (Part Four)

“Cathy Parlug, once she feels hopeless about humanity, she will transform into the Fourth Beast, but as long as she does not come into contact with human society, she will not cause any harm.”

"However, you've already thrown it out. The reason for its despair was that it learned human 'comparison' in human society..."

"And knowing this, why did you let it out?"

Merlin said nothing, neither denying nor refuting; he remained completely silent.

Le Zhengling didn't speak again, and the top of the tower fell silent once more.

"Now, do you understand why I doubted you?" After a long while, Yue Zhengling finally raised his head, only to find that Merlin had his back to him. Seeing Merlin's actions, he couldn't help but breathe a sigh of relief.

"If I were, would you kill me to save the world?" Merlin asked in a voice devoid of any emotion.

"Huh? What nonsense are you talking about? I always side with my own people, not with what's right. Besides, what do the lives and deaths of humans have to do with me right now?" Yue Zhengling glared at Merlin as if he were an idiot.

Seemingly sensing the meaning behind that gaze, Merlin turned around with a smile on his face again.

"Oh dear, what you just said was so much information that I don't know what to do."

Seeing Merlin's recovered expression, Yue Zhengling felt a sense of relief.

Actually, he was hiding a lot of things in what he just said. For example, the Rose Emperor might be the other half of Beast VI, the fully-formed nine-tailed fox Tamamo-no-Mae might also be a Beast, and the Beasts appear in a chain, and so on.

But now, Yue Zhengling doesn't want to tell Merlin too much, for fear that he might overthink things and cause more trouble.

After all, he is a nightmare who can enter dreams, and he might spread unnecessary information to the savior he has his eye on, which could cause the world line that Yue Zhengling knows to collapse.

The concept of "cutting out" events is no joke. If his parallel world were cut out, he would be devastated.

Furthermore, he believed that Merlin, with his profound understanding of historical development, possessed unique wisdom and would not spread information that would absolutely cause chaos in the world. He might only offer a roundabout hint to certain people.

Thinking of this, Yue Zhengling suddenly had another guess: "Merlin, Fou became a Primate Murder in another timeline, following the half-Dead Apostle, half-True Ancestor Black Princess, Altrouge Brunestud."

"In this timeline, she's with you, who's half nightmare and half human. When she went to Chaldea, she followed the girl who had become a Demi-Servant, that is, half human and half Heroic Spirit. Does that mean that Fou only befriends beings who are half-human and half-Heroic Spirit?"

This conjecture could spark a lot of interesting speculation. If it were true, then the human identities of Fujimaru Ritsuka, also known as Gudako and Gudako, would be highly questionable.

"While there's some truth to that, it's not quite right to say it like that. After all, Cathy Parlug is a being that possesses the ability of comparison, so it's probably because it particularly likes beings that are half and half."

Merlin recalled what had happened in Britain back then, his brow furrowing and relaxing at times.

Upon hearing this answer, Yue Zhengling shrugged, setting aside his previous, irrelevant speculation.

"Alright, I've said everything I needed to say. Now it's my turn to ask questions, right?" Le Zhengling walked back to the table and sat down.

"Huh? Is that all you're telling me?" Merlin was startled awake from his thoughts.

"Otherwise what? Knowing about other timelines is useless. You can't get involved anyway; managing this world is your job. Goetia and Tiamat are already enough of a headache for you; do you have the energy to worry about anything else?"

Le Zhengling looked at him with a ghostly expression, "So you really want to die from overwork?"

"No, no, no, how could that be! I'm just an ordinary magician who hopes to live a relaxed and happy life. Leave the death from overwork to the great magicians."

For some reason, Merlin couldn't help but shudder when he heard the words "death from overwork," as if some bad luck had befallen him.

Upon hearing Merlin's words, Yue Zheng couldn't help but cross his arms in a commanding pose, covering his mouth with a mocking smile, thinking: "Yeah, you're not likely to die from overwork, but working overtime is more suitable for you, isn't it?"

Merlin shivered again.

"You sent me away and told me to bring this box, so what's the use of this box now?" Yue Zhengling put away his smile and looked at Merlin seriously, waiting for him to explain.

Merlin walked to his seat and sat down. He first picked up the scarab beetle, which had been almost forgotten, and then opened the box and threw it inside.

At this moment, Yue Zhengling, who was standing next to him, realized what was in the box.

It's full of materials he painstakingly collected.

Yes, it is indeed dropped by exhausted enemies, no doubt about it.

"Well, the materials are almost ready. You can set off now." Merlin nodded in satisfaction, then closed the box and pushed it in front of Yue Zhengling.

"Depart? Where to?" Yue Zhengling asked, puzzled.

"Go to the fairy who can forge a weapon just for you~" Merlin, finally recovering from the previous information overload, said with a strange sense of superiority.

"Take this box, and after you leave the tower, head south. You will see a lake. Throw this flower into the lake, and you will be able to enter it."

Merlin touched his hair, then took out a flower and handed it to Yue Zhengling.

Le Zhengling's gaze turned strange again. He first looked at the flower, and then at Merlin's head.

"Huh? What are you looking at? Take it!"

"This...is it your dandruff?" He looked at the flowers in Merlin's hand with a look of disgust and finally asked the question.

Upon hearing this question, Merlin's face stiffened, clearly taken aback. How could this possibly be his dandruff!

However, before he could refute, Yue Zhengling continued.

"Look, flowers bloom wherever you walk, but they quickly disappear. In reality, these flowers are just illusions, just dead skin that keeps falling off your body, right?"

"Look, you've lived in Britain for a long time, so you're used to not bathing, right? And you're not human, so your body must be very special. Isn't that good evidence?"

Merlin, who was already at a loss for words, didn't know how to explain. He himself didn't understand the growth principle of these flowers. After all, who would care too much about things that are taken for granted?

But now, thanks to Yue Zhengling's suggestion, Merlin also began to ponder this question. As he thought about it, his expression grew increasingly strange, because he couldn't figure out why these flowers had appeared. Could it really be as Yue Zhengling had said...?

"No, this is impossible!" Realizing this, Merlin finally couldn't help but rush downstairs and into his private room. He decided to take a shower and prove that what Yue Zhengling said was wrong!

Chapter Seventy-Nine: The Lake Fairy

Watching Merlin rush off in a flurry, Le Zhengling was stunned for a moment. Then, he muttered to himself, half-laughing and half-crying, "Hey, did I just shoot myself in the foot? I haven't even asked the question I wanted to ask yet."

For some reason, Yue Zhengling always felt that when she wanted to ask Merlin some key questions, she would always be distracted by some irresistible force, and these irresistible forces were caused by herself.

He had four pleasant conversations and was in a good mood, but he didn't get the answers he wanted, which made him wonder if there was some strange reason behind it.

Sitting here alone was boring, so Yue Zhengling shook his head, picked up the box, went down the tower, and headed in the direction Merlin had indicated.

After all, there's still a long way to go, and there will be plenty of opportunities to ask the questions you want to ask.

But when he reached the bottom of the tower, he found that he couldn't get out of the thick fog. He guessed that this was a magic trick Merlin used to cover everything up, but he didn't expect that it would not only affect outsiders' ability to spy on this place, but also prevent the people inside from leaving.

In desperation, he looked up at the top of the tower and shouted, "Mage! Take back your supernatural powers!"

His cry echoed through the empty, distant tower. Soon after, the fog gradually dissipated, and Yue Zhengling left with the box in his arms.

In the upper part of the tower, in the grove, he simply put on his robes and stood by the window, quietly watching Yue Zhengling walk away.

"Sigh, what a troublesome fellow. Hopefully, you'll find a suitable weapon..."

"Oh right, he should take this with him." As if remembering something, Merlin pulled the rainbow card from his robes and threw it out forcefully, "Swoosh!"

The rainbow card transformed into a beautiful stream of light and shot towards Yue Zhengling.

Sensing the murderous aura behind him, Yue Zhengling reflexively turned his head. The corner of the familiar rainbow card was stuck straight into the ground in front of him, and the card was trembling.

Le Zhengling watched this scene with twitching eyes, and couldn't help but give the middle finger behind his back. He believed that Merlin could see it and understand what it meant.

He then bent down, pulled out the card, and continued on his way.

Merlin turned around and went back into the bathtub to bathe. This time, he would not come out until he had scrubbed off a layer of skin!

Le Zhengling himself didn't know how much time it took to get to the lake in Meilin. Now, he had no biological clock, and he didn't even have a sense of time anymore.

But we can't say we can't guess how much time has passed; at least it's already dawn.

He stood before the rather large lake, looking at the shimmering surface and the altar in the center of the lake. Yue Zhengling took out a flower that looked like Merlin's dandruff and threw it in.

The flowers didn't float on the lake; they sank directly into the water.

After a while, the lake surface trembled, and a stone path leading to the center of the lake appeared beneath his feet.

After hesitating for a moment, Yue Zhengling stepped inside and entered the altar.

This is an altar that is very similar to Stonehenge, with no carvings around it and paved entirely with stone.

"Throw the materials into the middle section of the water." Suddenly, a pleasant voice reached his ears.
