Chapter 433 Invited

Dui lingered on the shore of Swan Harbor, where pearls, gems, and crystals were scattered everywhere on the white sand, casually scattered by the Taylor elves to adorn the beach.

Dui completely ignored the priceless jewels in Middle-earth, searching for something among the white sand.

"What are you looking for, Duir?"

Dui looked up and saw that it was Childan asking the question. He didn't hide anything, "I'm looking for a kind of ancient sand that has gone through a long period of time and has not been eroded by time."

Ordinary sand, under the constant erosion of time and waves, will become smaller and smaller, and eventually disappear.

What Dui needed to find was the hardest kind of sand that could still survive after countless years and erosion.

Unfortunately, the sand on this beach, despite enduring the passage of time due to Valinor's immortality, still did not meet Dui's requirements.

After hearing Dui's words, Childane thought for a moment.

"If that's the case, perhaps I can help you a little."

Seeing Dui's puzzled expression, Childan chuckled and explained, "The sand on this beach is just the residue pushed by the waves. The real essence is hidden in the seabed, where sand that has been deposited for countless years is found."

Upon hearing this, Dui suddenly understood, and his eyes lit up.

"Thank you for reminding me, Cildan, you've done me a huge favor!"

"You're welcome. Aren't we friends?"

Childan smiled and waved his hand, then stopped Dui when he saw Dui about to walk into the sea.

"Duir, wait a moment. Perhaps I can call some friends from the sea to help you!"

"Friends from the sea?" Dui asked, surprised and puzzled.

Then, Kildan took out a golden conch shell and gently blew it towards the sea.

The sound of the conch shell is deep and melodious, with a penetrating power that travels into the depths of the sea.

Before long, several swift figures swam across the sea and quickly approached the beach where Dui and Qierdan were.

They were a group of mermaids, also called Oarni, who were sea spirits who served the couple Maya Ossi and Uni in the ocean realm.

When Dui and his companions sailed through the Misty Seas to Valinor, the first thing they heard was the singing of these mermaids.

The mermaids are very beautiful. They emerge from the sea with their upper bodies visible, their long fish tails appearing and disappearing in the water, and their snow-white hair shimmering in the sunlight.

"Kildan, what do you want with us?" The mermaid at the head of the group, draped in a silver veil and wearing a pearl necklace, asked Kildan in a familiar tone.

Good day, beautiful ladies of the waves!

Childan spoke in a friendly tone and introduced Dui beside him to them, "This is the wizard Duiel. He wants to find ancient gravel, but the sand on the beach is not old enough."

"And you are sea fairies, your understanding of the ocean is unparalleled. Therefore, I would like to ask for your help: could you tell my friend where I can find ancient sand?"

Upon hearing this, the mermaids all looked at Dui. As fairies serving Maya Ossi and Uni, they could sense a powerful aura emanating from Dui. Although he was not comparable to their master, he was still of the Maya level.

The mermaids began to respect such a being.

"Good day, Your Majesty the Eurni, the noble Wizard of Duir, the Eurni salute you!"

Dui waved his hand in a friendly manner, "Beautiful ladies of the waves, please don't stand on ceremony. I need your guidance this time so that I can find the ancient gravel."

Seeing Dui's friendly attitude, the mermaids relaxed a little and began to discuss among themselves.

Finally, the lead mermaid said to Dui, "Witch Dui, my sisters and I do know of a place, the underwater ranch of the Sea Queen (Uni). There, countless grains of sand and gravel have been deposited from the Perorei Pulse. These grains are incredibly hard; over tens of thousands of years, they haven't been eroded by the ocean's scouring, but have instead become as beautiful as diamonds. Is this the ancient gravel you're looking for?"

Upon hearing the mermaid's words, Dui's eyes lit up, and he asked, "Could you take me there to see it?"

The mermaids looked somewhat troubled. "Witch Duir, that's the pasture of Mayauni, whom we serve. We can't bring anyone there without her permission."

"If you need, my sisters and I can go to the ranch and bring you some sand."

Dui had a hunch that things were looking up, and his previously disappointed eyes lit up again, but he still asked with concern, "But won't this put you in a difficult position? Won't Uni be unhappy?"

The mermaid smiled and shook her head. "Those pebbles are everywhere on the seabed of the ranch. We even sift out and discard some of the sand that is too hard, because it will cut the sea queen's (Uni's) delicate feet. If you need any hard pebbles, we can bring them to you now."

"Then I'll have to trouble you!" Dui was relieved to hear this and thanked them.

The mermaids then turned back into the sea and went to Mayauni's underwater ranch to find the hardest and oldest sand for him.

Dui and Childan stayed on the beach, waiting patiently for the mermaids to return.

After a while, the mermaids reappeared.

Dui was eager to go over, but was surprised to find that the mermaids had returned empty-handed.

"Witch Doctor Duir, our lords Ossie and Uni have heard of your deeds and have specially asked us sisters to invite you to our home," the leading mermaid said respectfully.

Invite him to be a guest? Dui was surprised to hear this.

He never expected that simply looking for some sand would attract the attention of two Maya, who then invited him to visit.

This caught him somewhat off guard.

Ossi and Uni are two ocean Maias who serve the water ruler Uomu. They are also a married couple and are among the most powerful Maias.

It can be said that, apart from Viraoumu, they are the supreme rulers of the sea, possessing absolute control over it.

Dui was somewhat puzzled as to why these two people had noticed him and even invited him to be their guest.

After all, although he now possesses power comparable to that of the Maias, that is only relative to ordinary Maias.

The difference in strength between a top-tier Maya and an ordinary Maya is like heaven and earth; there is simply no comparison between them.

How could these two rulers of the ocean possibly take notice of a wizard who had just entered the Mayan realm?

Despite his doubts, Dui had no reason to refuse, partly because of the sand, and partly because he didn't want to offend the two rulers of the ocean.

So he bid farewell to Kildan, stepped into the sea, and went to the depths of the ocean with the mermaid who was leading the way.

The mermaids gave Dui a golden pearl beforehand. Holding the pearl, the surrounding seawater automatically avoided him, creating a vacuum environment where he could breathe freely.

Although Dui could move freely in the water using shapeshifting and potions, he did not refuse the mermaids' kindness. He played with the pearl in his hand, which acted like a water-repelling bead, and followed behind the mermaids at a leisurely pace.
