Chapter 394 Sauron's Arrival

Chapter 394 Sauron's Arrival

Smaug avoided the Aurors' location and relentlessly breathed fire at the enemy below.

In an instant, raging flames spread rampantly through Angmar's army, accompanied by a cacophony of screams and wails.

And all of this happened in the blink of an eye.

After finishing, the dragon Smaug set his sights on the Witch-King of Angmar, who was being besieged by the Aurors, and charged directly at him, his throat already simmering with scorching dragonfire.

Without Smaug's prompting, the Aurors instantly and in perfect unison Apparition to make way.

The next second, without any hesitation, Smaug breathed scorching flames at the Witch-King of Angmar.

Smaug has now absorbed all the dragon crystals of the Frost Dragon. Although he failed to grow to the size of the Frost Dragon due to incompatibility of attributes, the heat and destructive power of his dragonfire have reached the level of an ancient fire dragon.

Its dragonfire was powerful enough to destroy the Ring of Power and threaten the Witch-King of Angmar.

Therefore, the Witch-King of Angmar did not hesitate to dodge, using a method similar to a flash to avoid the burning dragon flames, and jumped off the Fallen Flying Beast.

The Fallen Flying Beast was unable to dodge in time and was engulfed by the enormous dragon flames, transforming into a fiery flying beast. With a terrible roar, it struggled and swung around in mid-air for a few moments before crashing headfirst to the ground, crushing the Orc who was unable to dodge in time to death.

Seeing that he had failed to burn the Witch-King of Angmar, Smaug did not give up and continued to pursue the Witch-King of Angmar, who had already landed.

Without his mount, the Witch-King of Angmar, no matter how fast he was, could not compare to the flying Smaug and was quickly overtaken.

Seeing the flames flickering in Smaug's mouth, the Witch-King of Angmar cried out, "Master, save me!"

As soon as the words were spoken, the sky turned pitch black, and darkness enveloped the entire earth.

The entire battlefield became eerily quiet, as if time had stood still. A terrifying, suffocating atmosphere descended upon the area, instilling fear in people for no reason, as if they had lost all hope and courage.

Immediately, countless seductive voices seemed to echo in the air, a silent, soul-stirring, and irresistible sound.

Smaug stopped attacking the Witch-King of Angmar. His relaxed expression turned into one of extreme vigilance, his scales stood on end, and his body tensed as if facing a formidable enemy.

The Aurors felt an invisible sense of suffocation, while struggling to resist the seductive and decadent music, their expressions becoming conflicted and uncomfortable.

It felt like an eternity had passed, or perhaps only a second, when a massive rift opened in the sky, filled with darkness—an absolute darkness capable of swallowing everything.

The opening resembled a giant vertical eye, emanating a suffocating and chilling aura, as if some terrifying being was lurking within it.

Finally, a gigantic figure emerged from the void rift.

He wore a menacing spiked helmet and dark armor, surrounded by flames and black smoke. He was exceptionally tall and imposing, with a pair of burning eyes peeking out from his helmet, exuding evil and majesty.

"Sauron!" Smaug looked at the figure standing in the void with great solemnity, his voice filled with an unprecedented gravity.

The Sauron that appeared before him had a physical form and exuded a terrifying aura, making Smaug feel intensely uneasy and threatened.

He gathered all his power and unleashed the hottest dragonfire at Sauron.

Sauron made no attempt to dodge, strolling towards Smaug through the air. The blazing flames were blocked by an invisible force as they approached him and were quickly extinguished.

Smaug's pupils contracted, and fear filled his eyes. He knew he was no match for Sauron and immediately tried to flee.

But the next second, Sauron conjured a spear radiating a dark aura in his hand and shot it toward Smaug.

The black spear moved with lightning speed, giving Smaug no chance to dodge, and plunged into his heart.

Just as Smaug's pupils dilated and he sensed the approach of death, a defensive barrier erupted from his chest, momentarily halting the spear's movement.

It turns out that the only spot on Smaug's chest without scales was transformed by Dui into a dragon-scale-shaped alchemical defensive artifact, which was then inlaid in the gap and replaced with a dragon scale.

This dragon scale-shaped alchemical artifact possesses powerful defensive capabilities, capable of withstanding attacks from powerful spells, and can also repair itself.

But now, when faced with Sauron's spear, it was like paper meeting a sharp blade; it could only slow down the speed for a moment and could not completely block it.

However, although it was only a one-thousandth of a second delay, it gave Smaug a chance to react. He desperately twisted his body to dodge the fatal blow.

The spear shattered the defensive barrier, narrowly grazing Smaug's heart before piercing his chest.

Feeling intense pain, Smaug couldn't help but let out a scream.

The immense impact of the spear sent Smaug hurtling a thousand meters away.

But this also gave him a chance to escape.

Smaug, enduring the excruciating pain, spread his wings and desperately flew away before hitting the ground, shouting to the Aurors, "Run! You're no match for them!"

Then, without looking back, he flew away towards Hogwarts.

He could feel the spear embedded in his chest releasing dark power, constantly eroding his body, seemingly trying to transform him into a dark creature, into Sauron's puppet.

Meanwhile, the Aurors on the battlefield, seeing that Smaug was no match for Sauron, did not hesitate to grab the Portal keys and teleport away.

But Sauron clearly had no intention of letting them go. The thirteen Aurors who were closest to him had just activated the Portkey when they were suppressed by the powerful dark energy released by Sauron and had no time to escape.

With a wave of his hand, Sauron pulled the thirteen Aurors together by an invisible force and floated them in front of him.

Looking at the terrified Aurors before him, Sauron let out a deep laugh, full of admiration, and said, "Truly excellent wizards, from now on they shall be my servants!"

As he spoke, he raised his black hand, which was missing a finger, and gently stroked the tops of the Aurors' heads.

In an instant, the pupils of all the Aurors turned pitch black, their struggling and terrified expressions vanished, and they bowed respectfully and fervently to Sauron: "Greetings, Master! We are willing to serve you!"

Seeing this, Soren smiled with satisfaction: "Very good, from now on you will be my black wizard knights!"

He then unleashed dark power, enveloping the entire battlefield.

Under the influence of Sauron's power, the dead Orks were resurrected, or rather, transformed into undead, far more powerful and dangerous than the undead of the Witch-King of Angmar.

All of Angmar's army was controlled and corrupted by Sauron's power. Whether they were originally undead, skeletons, or orcs and trolls, they were all turned into puppets and reassembled into a massive army, marching towards Hogwarts.

Inside Hogwarts Castle.

Once Sauron and his army entered the territory, Dui saw Sauron's name on the Marauder's Map.

Beside him were Gandalf, Bilbo, Boromir, and the other members of the Fellowship of the Ring, who were openly heading west.

Upon witnessing the outcome of the battle at Northhill, his expression turned grave. He looked up at Gandalf and the other two and said in a deep voice, "Gentlemen, Sauron has appeared in person! We are likely about to face our most difficult war yet!"
