Chapter 364 Light Energy Manipulation
The red sun limits the Kryptonians' abilities, while the yellow sun allows them to absorb power and transform into invincible "Superman".
Connors reached out and aimed at the red sun in the sky. In an instant, his "light manipulation" ability adjusted the sun's spectrum, and yellow sunlight immediately replaced the red light to illuminate the earth.
Lucy was an ignorant native girl. She looked up at the sky, enduring the excruciating pain of being shot in the abdomen, not understanding why the sky had suddenly changed color, nor what Connors had done.
But Cara from "Supergirl" understood.
Under the yellow sun, Kara's wounds stopped bleeding almost instantly. She plunged one hand into her chest with her fingers like a knife, pulled out the broken arrowhead, and threw it on the ground.
Kara's wounds healed rapidly, and the spaceship in the sky was about to break through the atmosphere and escape into space.
Lucy screamed in fright as she watched Kara dig out the arrow with her bare hands. The next moment, she saw "Supergirl" Kara crouch down, and then a white sound barrier cloud exploded above her head.
Kara had already clenched one fist upwards and placed the other hand on her waist, breaking through the sound barrier. Her red cloak fluttered in the air, and she left a red trail in the sky.
When Lucy recovered from the ringing in her ears caused by the deafening roar of Kara breaking the sound barrier, she saw the figure in the striking red and blue battle suit already looming high above the spaceship.
Unbeknownst to Lucy, Connors' body suddenly became mechanized, his eyes flashing with electronic red light.
"Polymer chain mimicry" made Connors's body structure indistinguishable from "Cyborg," and his consciousness entered the interior of the spaceship in an instant.
"Oh, so it was already programmed to take off automatically and travel into interstellar space. I thought Krim, that native, had suddenly learned how to fly a spaceship."
Connors, having regained his normal physical condition, muttered to himself.
He looked up at "Supergirl" Kara, who was suspended in the sky and stopped the spaceship from rising further with one hand. She stretched out one hand to hold the spaceship in front of her, and with the other hand clenched into a fist and leaned back, she rushed into the spaceship.
With a deafening roar, the massive spaceship was rammed through by "Supergirl" Kara in the sky, exploding into a giant fireball.
The debris fell with a crash, and "Supergirl" Kara, with Krim by the neck, slowly descended to the ground.
pat!
Krim was thrown to the ground, but he didn't die, and he wasn't even seriously injured. It was clear that "Supergirl" used her biofield to save him when she crashed into the spaceship.
"Are you—alright? Those arrows—"
Lucy hesitated, knowing that no one could be alive and well after being shot with an arrow. Even though Kara had dug out the arrowhead, Lucy was still worried about whether Kara's injury was fatal.
"You'd be better off worrying about yourself," Kara said. "Lie down and don't move."
Kara forcefully pressed Lucy's shoulders down and laid her on the ground, then quickly inserted two fingers into the wound to pull out the arrowhead.
Before Lucy could even scream, Kara's hot gaze was already fixed on Lucy's injured abdomen.
Connors possesses the "Athena's Vision," and he clearly sees the wound in Lucy's abdomen being burned and stopped by his heat vision, while Kara's "Biofield" constantly surrounds her, accelerating the healing of her wound.
"You can now take your own revenge, child."
Seeing that Lucy's injuries had eased, Kara gestured with her chin towards Krim, who was lying on the ground.
Lucy gripped the hilt of her sword without hesitation.
Clang!
Luce drew her longsword and held it in her hand. She slowly stepped forward, gripped the hilt with both hands, and looked down at Krim.
Only then did she notice that Krim's eyes were moving, indicating that he was conscious, but his joints were broken and he was lying on the ground unable to move.
"When you killed my father, you left this long sword behind. Did you ever imagine that his child would take your life with this very sword?"
With tears welling in her eyes, Bei Lu Sai questioned,
"Forgive me, I was merely one of the royal guards sent by the king to test you. There will always be skeptics of a new king."
"And your father was one of them," Krim exclaimed.
"Unless my father crawls out of the dirt and embraces me again," Lucy said, "your excuses don't change the fact that you killed him."
puff!
Krim's head was severed by Lucy's own hands and rolled on the ground. A wild dog that had been waiting nearby for a long time, having already smelled the blood on Kara and Lucy, immediately darted out, grabbed the head, and ran away into the distance.
Lucy once again wore that blank expression, staring at the headless corpse on the ground, blood gushing from the severed neck, quickly staining the ground black.
"Supergirl" Kara patted Lucy on the shoulder and walked away, knowing that she needed to give the underage girl some time alone.
Kara walked up to Connors, extended a hand, and said:
"Thank you, Mr. Amazing, who can change the solar spectrum."
This was the first time she had spoken to Connors, but to her surprise, Connors immediately waved his hands in disgust, as if avoiding a plague.
"I appreciate your kindness, but please don't call me that anymore, it feels awkward."
Connors is still plagued by Reed, the "Mr. Fantastic" who seems to pop up like a weed in some multiverse. Kara's labeling of him makes Connors feel incredibly uncomfortable.
"Then what should I call you?" Kara asked.
"The Watcher," Connors.
"The 'Monitor' is a title, like my 'Supergirl,' not a name, right?"
Connors nodded.
"Wonder Girl" Kara tucked her long, smooth golden hair behind her ear and spoke as if casually:
"You've been sitting at the same table drinking with me since yesterday, woke up in the same dilapidated house this morning, and now you're here to help me change the sun—just like your title suggests, are you here to spy on me?"
"Next time I'll introduce myself, I won't use the title 'The Watcher'," Connors said self-deprecatingly, reaching out to shake Kara's hand, giving it a few shakes before letting go.
"To be honest, I'm here on the orders of my good brother to do something. I need a powerful person to help me accomplish it, and you are powerful enough."
Kara chuckled twice and pointed to the yellow sun in the sky:
"You can alter the light emitted by an entire star in an instant. Are you sure you need someone like me, who depends on the sun, to help you?"
Connors nodded:
"That's right, only you can help me with this."
