Chapter 363 Revenge
Chapter 363 Revenge
Chapter 363 Revenge
"I wanted her to stay," Lucy said, "but she's gone so far that she's disappeared from sight."
Connors casually pointed in a direction:
"Head in this direction and chase after her with all your might; you can catch up with her before she leaves."
Without a moment's hesitation, Lucy grabbed her longsword and ran, not even bothering to look after Connors who was left behind.
Just as she was walking through a grove of trees and feeling lost, Connors, whom she thought had been left behind, was already waiting and gave Lucy directions again.
Then they crossed the river and emerged from the plains. Every time Lucy was about to lose her way, Connors would appear just in time and guide her back to the right path.
Lucy struggled across a muddy field overgrown with water plants, and suddenly the view opened up before her. It was a relatively flat area, and a huge monster lay on the ground.
"What is that?" she asked.
"Spaceship," Connors said.
Lucy clearly didn't know what a "spaceship" was, but she understood from the literal meaning that it was some kind of transportation, and that "Supergirl" Kara was inside this spaceship.
The spaceship roared loudly, the flames from its engines scorching the air, and the hot air made Lucy's face turn bright red.
"What are you doing here?"
"Supergirl" Kara's voice came from inside the spaceship; she was standing at the hatch looking at Connors and Lucy.
"I've already set it on fire. You'd better stay away, or the flames will burn you."
Lucy stared blankly up at the enormous spaceship; she had never seen anything like it before.
"I've never seen this before, and you just walked out of there in your underwear?"
Kara appeared unusually gentle at this moment:
"This is not from this world. The big guy behind me is like a horse that will take me home. And what I'm wearing isn't underwear; these are my normal clothes."
"And you must leave, because the horse is ready to run, and it will kick people when it starts, and I don't want you to get kicked."
Lucy remained staring blankly at Kara, who continued to draw her longsword.
"My name is Lucy, and I am a witness to your skill and courage."
"I want to hire you to kill Krim, who killed my father and threw him into the ground."
"...I hope you can help me kill him."
She repeated what she had said in that dilapidated house.
"Supergirl" Carla seemed somewhat helpless; she could only try her best to comfort Lucy.
"Hey, you seem like a great girl, but I can't go with you to kill people. I have to go home; I have a job back home."
The first requirement for that job was exactly "not to kill."
"I understand your anger. Losing someone is a sad thing, but you can't live in hatred forever," Connors said, turning away.
Behind him, the seemingly underage girl, Lucy, was no longer dazed; she was now filled with anger.
"I haven't just lost a person, I've lost my father! I'll never see him again!"
"Your spaceship and your clothes suggest you come from a wonderful world, one you have no idea about!"
Connors stopped in his tracks, curious about how Kara, the "supergirl" who occasionally swore and inexplicably ended up on a red sun planet that was quite disadvantageous to him, would react.
"I—..——·f**K."
"I came here because of the red sun, to celebrate my damn birthday, so I can pretend I'm still on Krypton."
Connors turned his head and saw Kara pinching her brow with her hand. Connors' amazing eyesight allowed him to clearly see a few glistening tears at the corners of Kara's eyes.
Metaphor!
An arrow grazed Connors' face and pierced Kara's chest.
The red sun not only weakened Kara's abilities, but also made her body, which was as indestructible as "Lord Superman," weaker.
"Ah!" Luce screamed. She instinctively drew her longsword and looked anxiously at Kara, who was kneeling on the ground with an arrow in her chest.
"Good shot, Krim."
A familiar voice rang out; it was the same bounty hunter who had tried to forcibly take Lucy's longsword from the tavern yesterday.
Standing next to him was another red-haired man with a full red beard, holding a bow and arrow; clearly, the arrow that struck Kara in the chest was his doing.
Krim drew another arrow from behind his back, nocked it on his bow, and grinned at Lucy, baring his teeth:
"The bounty hunter told me you were hiring someone to kill me, little girl."
"I paid him a large sum of money to show me the way."
Lucy supported "Supergirl" Kara to keep her from falling, anxiously checking her wounds.
Metaphor!
Krim's second arrow was fired, piercing straight into Lucy's abdomen.
"The bounty hunter was right after all. There are three of you, but you only have one longsword, which is being carried by the weakest little girl."
Krim was still baring his teeth, and the tartar on them made Connors feel nauseous.
"I went to great lengths to acquire this bow and arrow set in order to wipe you all out. Once I reclaim my longsword, you'll realize how foolish it was to mess with me."
The bounty hunter chuckled smugly to himself.
"I don't think they know the value of this bow and arrow set. I hope she has money on her, otherwise we'll be at a huge loss."
Lucy couldn't help but cry, and her tears dripped onto Kara's wound.
Kara shoved Luce aside, her chest still pierced by an arrow, and stood up straight, walking towards the bounty hunter and Krim. "Don't you know who I am?"
Krim shook his head and casually shot an arrow at Connors, who was quietly watching the situation unfold.
"I'm 'Supergirl,' do you think I'd care about the arrow in your hand?"
Krim hurriedly drew his bow and arrow, and another arrow pierced Kara's chest.
He saw the woman in the red and blue battle armor walk up to him without flinching, and Krim, his scalp tingling, dropped his bow and arrows and drew the bounty hunter's longsword from the side.
brush!
The longsword slashed diagonally downwards towards Kara.
"Supergirl" Kara remained unfazed, simply raising one hand with lightning speed to grab the sword's blade, holding on tightly even as the sharp edge cut her palm.
Lucy remained in her original posture, staring blankly at Kara, seemingly amazed that Kara could still have such strong fighting power despite being hit by two arrows.
She even forgot that she also had an arrow stuck in her abdomen.
Connors, holding the arrow that Krim had shot at him, was momentarily at a loss.
"Should I have been shot or not?"
While he was racking his brains over this problem, "Supergirl" Kara had already started fighting Krim.
The blood flowing from Kara's chest stained most of her battle suit red, and her hands were also covered in blood.
Even under the red sun, Kara still managed to defeat Krim repeatedly with her fighting skills.
She fought with increasing ferocity, to the point that Krim's legs went weak, and he instinctively looked around, wanting to run away.
The surrounding area consisted of muddy ground covered with aquatic plants and plains, with only the "Supergirl" spaceship, which had already been activated, appearing to be a good hiding place.
Without any instruction, Krim rushed toward the spaceship, which, having already been ignited and started, automatically closed its hatches and soared into the sky after Krim entered.
The exhaust plume from the spaceship's takeoff sent mud flying everywhere, and Kara and Luce were tumbling around in the wind, with the arrows embedded in their bodies breaking off inside.
As the murderer was about to escape the planet in his spaceship, both Luce and Kara instinctively turned their gazes toward Connors.
Lucy had witnessed Connors's strength at the bar, while Kara could vaguely sense the guy's power.
Faced with the pleading looks of the two girls, Connors reached out and aimed at the red sun hanging high in the sky.
