The battle ended in Hades' defeat.
Hades stood in front of Tarachin, pursing his lips, watching the enormous machine in operation before him.
"All right."
Tarasin pulled the scythe from under the machine.
The obituary, which was originally pitch black, now gleamed with an eerie green light on the scythe and chainsaw blades, shimmering and changing color from different angles as Hades manipulated it.
Hades stared at the sickle-shaped obituary. Hmm, it felt even more familiar to him.
He reached out and touched the scythe, the scythe that was originally Vanguard's sharpest, but now it felt as soft as cotton to him.
"Huh!? Did you break this, Tarasin? You owe me money!"
"Use your brain! Oh, I forgot you don't have that. You have a part of the Star God, and Star God metal can't harm the Star God!"
"You gave me my brain too, so you're giving me a cheap one!"
"."
Tarasin stared speechlessly at this shameless man.
Hades, meanwhile, was still fiddling with his scythe.
"Hmm, I don't see any metallic coating on this scythe either?"
“I plated you with a layer of Celestial Metal, which you can’t see with the naked eye.”
"One atomic layer! You're so stingy."
"I'm using the best metals for you, not the ordinary stuff. Do you know how rare they are? And the effect of this metal isn't related to thickness. With just one layer, you can tear apart any physical enemy."
However, Hades still stared at it with the same look he had on a swindler.
"Go try it! You'll see!"
"Go! Go! Go."
Taracin sent Hades to the training field over there, where it stood with its arms crossed.
Ha, let foolish humans witness the power of necromancy.
Hades, with two pistols slung at his waist and a sickle in hand, walked to a rather thick boulder. According to Tarasin's tip, it was filled with a high-hardness alloy.
Hades looked at his obituary with some skepticism, then tried to swing his sickle, but not with all his might.
Based on Hades's experience, his exertion was completely insufficient to make the scythe cut into the rock.
However, a smooth texture, like cutting tofu, came from the sickle.
The obituary easily sliced through the rock, leaving a hole that perfectly fit the thickness of the obituary.
Hades even felt a slight resonance between himself and the metal on the obituary in his hand.
Damn it? !
Seeing this, Hades no longer hesitated. He took a few steps back, sprinted towards the boulder, and struck with his scythe!
The smooth, silky texture, like Dove chocolate, flowed through the blade without the slightest resistance, and the scythe easily sliced through the hard alloy boulder.
Hades, who was suspended in mid-air, had a slight thought. He pushed off the boulder and did a beautiful backflip. The feeling in his feet told him that the boulder was indeed extremely heavy.
"boom!"
Hades's kick caused the upper half of the boulder to lose its balance and slowly crash to the ground with a loud thud.
Hades looked at his scythe obituary again. "Very good, very good!"
"How about it?"
Tarasin's voice came through, but compared to before, it had lost all emotion.
But Hades knew what he had to say—
"It works very well!"
"Five-star review, love comes from Death Guard."
Tarasin crossed his arms with satisfaction. This kid had no idea how great necromancy technology was!
Thank you for subscribing. Happy reading! (_)
The concept of "trial" came from a fellow reader, Lin. Thank you so much for this idea! ('ω') Thank you so much!
Chapter 169 Medical Room Again
Above ground 106, between the Blackrock complex 03, Greiel Forgers, Iron Warriors, and Death Guards warriors moved about incessantly.
After the paratroopers successfully bombed the Blackrock complex in coordination with the air force, the Necromancer soldiers in space became noticeably slower, and no new Necromancer soldiers emerged.
One of the most significant advantages of the space necromancers is their endless swarms of soldiers, but now, no longer able to resurrect, they have clearly lost that advantage.
Perturabo concluded that the black stone buildings were responsible for commanding these soldiers and for the resurrection and logistics of the undead army; therefore, destroying these buildings was clearly a correct and necessary option.
The Death Guard Galaspa's main fleet had also arrived. Under the command of Garo and Vox, a large number of Death Guards and Iron Warriors quickly cleared out the increasingly sluggish undead.
While the warriors on the wasteland were working together to wipe out the undead army, the three groups inside the black stone building each had their own agendas.
The Iron Warriors, acting in the name of Peturabo, have come to collect alien technology and further ensure the destruction of enemy structures.
While the forgers of the Greielic Order were secretly searching for alien technology, some were also trying to find the phantom of Om Messiah.
In contrast, the Death Guards are much more straightforward; they come in Mortalian's name to find someone.
Black stones were scattered across the ground, and strange technological creations of alien races were everywhere. Cracks climbed the hard rocks, the marks left by violent lightning.
Praise be to Om Messiah!
A forger was standing with his friars before a boulder, on which lightning-like cracks were clearly visible and bottomless.
At that moment, he was standing in the distance and saw the huge shadow that suddenly rose up.
Is that Hades, the Death Guard?
No, no, that is the agent of the God of All Machines on earth!
Black and white mixed with emerald green distorted the space. In an instant, beautiful and intricate knowledge flashed before the foundryman's eyes, and the confusion, like ripples on water, easily dissipated.
It was like a dream.
The forger blinked. He caught a glimpse, but only a glimpse. The magnificent and complex treasure trove of knowledge left nothing for this believer. He saw it, and then forgot it.
Was he not devout enough?
"Praise be to Om Messiah, and forgive my disrespect."
The forger muttered to himself, as the servo head played hymns as loudly as possible.
As devout followers of the Mechanicus of Greière, they were overjoyed to witness a miracle, but the man had vanished.
God's agents are like dazzling bubbles that vanish in a flash, leaving behind only ruins and obsessions after their brief appearance.
They hoped to at least grasp something.
The forger knelt before the miracle, preferring to calm his mind and try to hear the echo of God again, rather than his colleagues who were searching for alien technology.
The earth beneath him responded to him.
The barely perceptible radio waves, mixed with impurities, emanated from the rock.
That was a distress signal. The Space Marine number attached to it was...
"Here!!! Underground!!"
"He's still alive!"
God did not abandon them!
Hades lay in the Death Guard's medical room with a look of utter despair.
The familiar location, the familiar bed, the familiar pharmacist.
Damn, that old bastard from the figure-collecting company went too far.
Tarachin helped to push Dynasty No. 106 back to sleep, and then packed up the things he had promised Hades and put them in an empty tomb. Hades would bring his men to dig them up later.
Hades, on the other hand, chose a shallow tomb to lie down in, intending to knock himself unconscious and wait for someone to dig him out.
Tarasin watched speechlessly as Hades attempted to stab himself so he could feign death.
"If you don't act soon, the troops above will be withdrawing."
"I wasn't thinking about where to poke it!"
Hades looked at the knife in his hand with a pained expression. He couldn't stab too shallowly, otherwise the apothecary would immediately know that he was faking his death.
Although Mortarion and the Death Guard are unlikely to care how Hades died and came back to life, other legions are currently present, and Hades thinks it's more reliable to just lie there and let the Death Guard pick him up.
He can't just fall from the sky with a bunch of necromancy weapons in his hands, can he?
And it seems that Tarasin said that Motarian and Peturabo are arguing again. What happened this time?
Hades suddenly felt a toothache.
"You can't bring yourself to do it, can you?"
Tarachin strolled over slowly.
"What are you doing? I'm warning you!"
"It's nothing, I'll help you out again!"
"what!"
When Hades opened his eyes again, all he saw was the ceiling of the Deathguard Endurance.
"Hey, are you awake?"
The pharmacist Leo's large face appeared before Hades, and Hades nodded weakly.
Oh, by the way, Taracin thoughtfully set up Hades' new brain to look like it was originally painted, which means that no one can see that Hades' right brain is no longer his original one!
His brain...
Leo ignored Hades's resentful gaze and smoothly opened the Legion Commander's channel to inform Mortalian Hades that he had woken up.
Mortarian has recently been trying to entangle Peturab or personally lead his troops into ground combat.
Leo went over and, after confirming that Hades' condition was stable, left with his apprentice Io.
Io was among the most recently selected Barbarosian Death Guards. He showed great intelligence during the subsequent training, so the pharmacist Leo took him on.
The principle of "striking first" applies here. Ever since the foundry department snatched Hades away, the medical department has been quick and ruthless in its pursuit of promising newcomers.
"You'll be in charge of District 12."
"I'm waiting here for the legion commander to arrive."
Leo spoke to Io, who nodded and headed towards District 12.
His friend Lena happened to be receiving treatment in ward 12.
Morag fulfilled his responsibility in leading this rookie squad, keeping them behind the front lines and only occasionally venturing out to help the Mechanicus clear out enemy flanking attacks.
The entire team survived; none of them died.
However, the unruly Lena broke military regulations and inadvertently lost contact with the main force during the battle. When Morag found Lena again, the guy was lying on the ground with a smug look on his face, seriously injured.
He will certainly be punished, but only after his injury has healed.
"Hey! Io! You've come!"
Nale's familiar voice rang out, and Io, with a stern face, tapped Lena.
"No noise, get some rest."
"Ugh, lying here is so boring!"
"Sigh, stop hitting me, okay, okay, I'll lie down!"
Io looked at Lena, a strange feeling welling up inside him, but he couldn't quite put his finger on what was wrong.
"If you're bored, then read a book."
Io picked up a book he had lent to Lena, a book about exotic animals.
